Norm Vesik, Owner of Wicked Ways Tattoos in San Antonio, TX, decided to become a Tatt2Away® center, because tattoo removal has always been part of his business plan. He’s experienced laser, and he wasn’t interested in offering it. “After session seven, they still weren’t done,” he said. “It’s like bacon grease thrown on your skin, your infection rate is higher, and you have to take care of nasty looking blood blisters and boils. There are too many things that can go wrong.”
His “business peers” thought it absurd that he’d want to remove tattoos. Why would he take tattoos off when he puts them on? “Nobody thinks of the coverup portion of this business,” Vesik noted. “We are in the time period where old tattoos look awful, and when people come in, they’ve only had a coverup option.”
Through Tatt2Away, Wicked Ways can now give clients more options. “We can fix your old stuff or get rid of your old stuff so you can get new stuff. It’s opening up options so clients can have a better tattoo or get rid of a name. Instead of a big nasty coverup, they have a better option.”
Wicked Ways has two successful locations where the employees wear uniforms and a family mentality with virtually no artist turnover.
